Program Description
The Employment Services program assists individuals with disabilities
to determine work goals through tools designed to discover strengths,
interests and abilities. The program is open to anyone regardless
of past work experience who is referred through the State Office
of Vocational Rehabilitation or the Federal Ticket to Work program.
Together, an interdisciplinary team led by the consumer, examines
what will "work" for the individual to increase independence
in an integrated work setting. The Employment Specialist will provide
training in job seeking skills as well as aid in the appropriate
placement, on the job training and job coaching based on level of
needed intervention. Staff work in cooperation with the individual
worksites with any needed accommodations.
Program Credentials
All Direct Care Staff are certified in:
- CPR
- First Aid
- Universal Precautions
- Non-violent Crisis Intervention
Program's Internal & External Customers
Internal Customers consist of: Individuals enrolled in our
other adult services programs. We also have been an employer to program
participants External Customers consist of: People with
disabilities, families, community work sites, local schools, funding
sources, community as a whole.
