Program DescriptionKids Place, which is licensed for 88 children ages 2 years through 2nd grade, is the only NAEYC accredited child care center in Scott County. Kids Place's child care program mission is to serve families by providing affordable, high quality child care in a safe and nurturning environment. Indiana state approved preschool curriculum provides the foundation for quality inclusionary preschool and child care services. The newly renovated ADA accessible 3/4 acre playground provides ample opportunity for quality outdoor play. Kids Place is presently contracted with Scott County School Districts I and II to provide preschool programming for children with special needs from ages three to five years. Full time child care staff must have their CDA (Child Development Associate) within 18 months employment. Two teachers licensed in elementary education work directly with the preschool program.
