Child Advocacy and Parental Support (CAPS)
New Hope works closely with families to provide home-based, family-focused support to assist in developing and achieving goals that meet their specific needs. The CAPS program is funded through a Community Partners for Child Safety grant from the state of Indiana. The program assists families who reside in Clark, Floyd, Harrison, Scott and Washington Counties, and need help accessing community resources. In the first 18 months, CAPS has served over 500 families.

A CAPS Case manager cam assist families in accessing community resources for:

  • Housing/Shelter
  • Food
  • Counseling/Mental Health Services
  • Financial Assistance
  • Other basic needs

A CAPS Case manager can assist families in accessing community resources for:
  • Problem-solving
  • Parenting Support/Information
  • Community Referrals
  • Personal/Social Support
  • Stress Reduction
  • Conflict Resolution
