Futures UnLTD serves an exclusive adult population with developmental and/or physical disabilities. All services are intended to assist consumers reach the highest level of independence regarding personal social and/or vocational skills with the services based on an individualized plan of care.
New Hope Services has a long history of being responsive to local needs. Futures UnLTD in Austin was no exception. Encouraged by the success of the Job Training Center (Sheltered Workshop) in Jeffersonville, and the demand from Scott County, New Hope partnered with the community.
State of Indiana grant money was a major catalyst. City officials donated three acres in the Austin Industrial Park and local fundraising efforts made Futures UnLTD a reality. When the facility opened in October 1991, the 17,500 square foot building welcomed thirty-eight (38) adult consumers. By the end of the year; the Austin facility was providing a full range of vocational training and manufacturing services, including subcontracting and production of sports wall clocks.
