Children who have been diagnosed with autism or are developmentally disabled have very few resources in Southern Indiana. New Hope Services recognized that need in 2006 and worked to create a program that would provide these children the structure and environment they need to remove and/or lower barriers to a quality of life that allows them to maximize their potential for independence and self-actualization.
In 2009 New Hope started Park Place Children’s Home in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The primary service area includes 9 counties in Southern Indiana including: Clark, Crawford, Floyd, Harrison, Jackson, Jefferson, Jennings, Scott, and Washington.
Park Place serves up to ten children age 6-21, male and female, who have been diagnosed with autism or a developmental disability. The home is a ranch-style, brick home that has over 6600 square feet and sits on a beautiful 2 acre lot close to the Ohio River. The home includes 10 bedrooms, 5 baths, an outside playground and sitting areas as well as a basement with two recreational rooms.
The staff at Park Place works with each child, every day, on individual programs to help that child reach their full potential and remove barriers to a quality life.
