The Behavior Management Services program supports individuals to use positive strategies to decrease the occurrence of unwanted behaviors. Utilizing these services can enhance an individual’s quality of life by increasing their independence and meaningful participation in the community.

New Hope’s Behavior Specialists partner with clients, staff, and family members to provide hands-on training to promote success and decrease the number of challenging or dangerous behaviors. Behavior Management Services are funded through the CIH, FSW Medicaid Waivers.

Janis Ballard, MA
Behavior Management Consultant

Janis has over 20 years of experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities, first in a classroom setting and for the last 10 years as a Behavior Consultant. Janis earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Indiana University Southeast and her Master’s Degree in Behavior Analysis from Spalding University.

Ja’Dora Parks, MA
Behavior Management Consultant

Ja’Dora has a Master of Arts degree in Professional Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands and a BA in Mental Health Counseling from Lindsay Wilson College. She has previous experience as a Behavior Clinician, Clinical Therapist, and Clinical Director.

Lisandra Sepulveda, MA
Behavior Management Consultant

Lisandra holds a Master of Arts degree from the University of Nevada, Reno and earned BA degrees in Psychology and Criminology. She has over 20 years of experience providing one-on-one behavioral therapy, completing functional behavior assessments, designing programs, conducting training workshops, and developing behavior intervention plans. She has worked with both children and adults with various intellectual disabilities in home, school, and residential care settings.

This program is currently offered in Clark, Floyd and Scott counties.
